It isn't always easy to connect to a faith community in a new town, but XODUS offers Christians on campus a way to discuss and celebrate their faith away from home.

XODUS is an alternative approach to faith, uniting young Christians from different backgrounds and denominations through group activities and worship. With a mission statement that seeks out "hardcore" members of the faith who "live to the fullest" it's no surprise that the group draws members dedicated to their faith and having fun.

XODUS reaches out to Christians of all ages, specifically between 18 and 20, aiming to both ease the transition from high school to college and welcome students interested in discovering or re-invigorating their faith.

"We don't judge, we are all about sharing the love of Christ with others and letting people know that life is not just about the money you make, relationships you are in, or fame."

Sarah Austin, secretary of XODUS, says  the group offers a chance to "connect socially and spiritually with other believers."

"It all starts with a relationship with Jesus Christ," said Austin.

XODUS is based at Rice Road Community Church, across the street from Niagara College's Welland campus.

XODUS meets every other Tuesday for bible study or  social events. Students are invited to attend to "explore some of these big questions of life."  XODUS contacts members ahead of time to notify them of events.
